The Edinburgh Festival is actually multiple festivals for Jazz, Film, Books and Music & Theatre, plus the "Fringe" Festival (where anything can happen) and street theatre. It lasts about four weeks around the end of August.
The atmosphere this year was dinted by the poor weather; that and the fact I went to more films than (well lit) shows, mean I don't have many photos from this year.
